Mokotów

Mokotów is Warsaw’s most populous district, with about 228,000 residents, stretching south from the centre to the Vistula. Stary Mokotów has prewar villas and tree-lined streets around Park Dreszera, while further out there are postwar estates, new apartment buildings and the office district of Służewiec, one of the city’s biggest workplaces. The M1 metro line runs through the district with five stations, and trams cover most of it. Pole Mokotowskie, a large open park, is on the northern edge, and Park Morskie Oko and Królikarnia sit on the escarpment. Apartments are among the pricier in the city, at about 18,000 zł per m². Mokotów suits almost anyone who wants a full, settled neighbourhood close to the centre: families, office workers and people who like to walk to a café.
