Ochota is a small district west of the centre, and Warsaw’s most densely populated: about 78,000 people live on under 10 km². It has the second most schools and pharmacies per km² in the city and the third most restaurants and shops, so most errands are a short walk. Prewar houses survive around Plac Narutowicza and in the Kolonia Lubeckiego estate, next to the historic water filter works. Trams run along Grójecka, and six railway stations serve the district, though there is no metro stop inside it. Park Szczęśliwicki, with its hill, is the big green space. About a quarter of residents are of retirement age. Ochota suits people who want a walkable, central-feeling neighbourhood at a little below centre prices, about 16,900 zł per m².
