Praga-Południe
186,401 residents · 22.36 km²
Praga-Południe lies on the right bank of the Vistula, across from the centre, and about 186,000 people live here. It mixes very different neighbourhoods. Saska Kępa has prewar villas, modernist houses and cafés along Francuska street. Grochów and Kamionek are older working districts, and Gocław is a large estate of postwar blocks. Park Skaryszewski is the district’s big park, and the National Stadium stands at its edge by the river. Green space is scarce overall, only about a quarter of the area. Trams run along Grochowska and across the Poniatowski bridge into the centre. Apartments sell for about 15,800 zł per m², close to the city median. It suits people who want city life, local shops and short trips into the centre without centre prices.
