Rembertów, on Warsaw’s eastern edge, is the city’s smallest district by population, with about 25,000 residents. It grew up around military training grounds, and the military academy is still here. Most people live in single-family houses and low blocks, with forest on all sides: more than half the district is green. There is no metro or tram. Two railway stations on the line east of Warsaw are the quickest way into town. By our score it is one of the three quietest districts, and it has very few cafés. It also has the lowest apartment prices in Warsaw, at about 12,500 zł per m². Rembertów suits people who want a house and woods, and who are fine with a train ride to the centre.
