Włochy lies in the south-west of Warsaw and is home to Warsaw Chopin Airport, which takes up a large part of the district. About 51,000 people live here, mostly in neighbourhoods of houses and small blocks such as Stare Włochy and Okęcie, alongside warehouses and office parks. The population is growing, up almost 6% in five years. There is no metro, but five railway stations and a few tram lines link the district to the centre. Apartments sell for about 15,300 zł per m², a little below the city median. Włochy suits people who fly often, work near the airport or want a quiet house close to the city.
