Wola

Wola, just west of the centre, has changed more than any district in recent years. The area around Rondo Daszyńskiego, once full of factories, is now Warsaw’s main cluster of office towers, with new apartment buildings rising around it. About 149,000 people live here. The M2 metro line runs through Wola with six stations, and trams and nine railway stations cover the rest. It has the second most cafés, restaurants, shops and gyms per km² in the city. Wola is also home to the Warsaw Rising Museum, Hala Mirowska and the historic Powązki Cemetery. Apartments are among the most expensive in the city, at about 19,900 zł per m². Wola suits people who work in the towers or want a central, modern neighbourhood.
