1. Who we are

2. What we process and why

This site has no accounts, no sign-in, no posts from visitors and no payments, and nothing is for sale. It sends no newsletter or other emails.

Analytics, only with your consent: a cookie banner offers Accept or Reject, and nothing related to analytics loads until you accept. The Cookie settings link in the footer changes your choice at any time. We use Google Analytics 4 for statistics and Microsoft Clarity for session recordings and heatmaps, with text masked, to understand which pages are useful and to fix what breaks. Google Analytics also receives some actions: that you saved something or made a list (not what), that you shared a result, and your quiz answers (the place you go to most, budget, priorities). Basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, for storing data on your device, the Polish Electronic Communications Law.

Technical logs: our hosting and network providers process IP addresses in technical logs to deliver and protect the site. Basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). We don't get or keep those logs ourselves on an ongoing basis.

Email: if you write to [email protected], your message and address are forwarded through Namecheap to the operator's Gmail inbox (Google). Basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f)).

3. Who else processes data

After you accept analytics: Google Ireland Ltd (Google Analytics 4) and Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd (Microsoft Clarity). Both may transfer data to the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Always: DigitalOcean (App Platform), which hosts the site, and Cloudflare, whose network serves it. For email to us: Namecheap and Google.

Your browser loads some content straight from others, who then see your IP address: base maps from OpenFreeMap (the quiz, the daily game and district pages); photos from Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia; event and news images from other sites, such as go2warsaw.pl, twoja-praga.pl and bi.im-g.pl; and the noise map from the City of Warsaw's map service, if you turn that layer on.

Links to Google Maps, Google Translate, organisers' pages, news sites and other sources open those pages under their own policies.

4. Storage on your device

In your browser only (local storage and a cache of the map's files, so it opens faster): your cookie choice, saves and lists, colour mode, persona, the first-steps checklist, the daily game's streak, what you have explored on the map and recent map searches. They are needed for features you use, so they need no consent. Their contents are not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Location: if you use the map's location button, your browser asks for permission and your position is used in the browser only. It is never sent to us.

Analytics cookies, only after you accept: _ga and _ga_* from Google Analytics (up to 2 years); _clck (up to 1 year), _clsk (1 day) and CLID from Microsoft Clarity.

Cloudflare may set a technical cookie, __cf_bm (about 30 minutes), to protect the site from automated traffic. It is strictly necessary, so it needs no consent.

5. How long data is kept

Google Analytics: data retention is set to 14 months. Your email: while needed to answer you. Data in your browser: until you clear it.

6. Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, and to correct, delete, restrict or move it, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest, by writing to [email protected]. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time with Cookie settings; this doesn't affect what happened before you withdrew it. You can complain to the Polish data protection authority, Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (uodo.gov.pl).

7. Children

This site has no accounts, so it has no account age limit.

8. Changes

We will say on this page if this policy changes. Last updated: 2026-11-04.
