Bemowo

Bemowo is a residential district on Warsaw’s western edge, home to about 129,000 people. Most of them live in large housing estates from the 1970s and 1980s, such as Jelonki and Górce, with schools, shops and playgrounds between the blocks. Boernerowo, in the north, keeps a quieter grid of small houses among the trees, and the forest of Lasek Bemowski runs along the city boundary. The M2 metro line reaches the district at Bemowo station, and trams link the estates to Wola and the centre. Fort Bema and its park are a favourite for walks. Apartments sell for about 15,300 zł per m², close to the city median, which makes Bemowo a calm, practical choice for families and commuters heading west or to the centre.
